Todd Phelps for Mayor
Common Sense – Fiscally Concerned – Compassionate
Why I am running for Mayor . . .
I grew up in Austin and I understand its soul – and our people.
Under Adler’s leadership Austin is losing its soul regardless of his rambling rhetoric. His policies are pushing out thousands of Austinites of all cultures because they can’t afford to live here any longer. These are the people that have built Austin with their hands and their minds.
I am not a rich guy, I don’t live in a multi-million-dollar home and I don’t have $300,000 to loan to my campaign, but I know what it’s like for the hundreds of thousands of average people that are trying to run a business, cultivate the land, protect the environment and preserve the music and culture of Austin.
I am a man that is deeply saddened as retirees must leave behind their homes and friends because Austin is simply too expensive for them to live. I am running for mayor because I want to do everything I can to save the soul of Austin.
We are running out of time.
