AUSTIN, TX – Local Austin musician and business owner Todd Phelps will discuss his pro-technology, pro-music traffic solutions platform at his Mayoral Campaign Announcement celebration/meet & greet April 25th 5 to 7 PM at The Mean Eyed Cat (a Stubb’s BBQ location – 1621 West 5th Street, Austin TX 78703).
The public and media are invited to attend this exciting announcement, featuring local musical icon Malford Milligan. Several owners and staff of local technology companies including Test Spectrum Inc. will be in attendance to discuss the future growth and expansion of the technology sector in Austin with Phelps.
A lifelong Austinite and political outsider, Phelps wants to have an open dialogue with his fellow residents about the future of Austin. “I believe we need a new and fresh approach to governing here in Austin. My roots and professional experience have led me to understand that we must be mindful of Austin’s history, while ensuring that it remains the strongest hub for technology and innovation and of course the most dynamic music city in the world,” said Phelps. Phelps plans include: – An all of the above – environmentally conscious – approach to improving Austin’s transportation options. Emphasizing that we cannot let another decade of inaction go by and that he intends to keep Austin moving forward. – Addressing the plight of East Austin residents who are being pushed out of their community by insurmountable property tax bills. – Promoting, enhancing and protecting Austin’s green spaces, our unique and diverse cultural heritage.
